| When I went in tonight to check my tanks in the back bedroom, I found an empty tank full of newborn somethings????
They are in a tank that has nothing in it but water, filter (that was switched out with an angel tank), a few live plants (pulled from an planted tank without fish in it), a rock (angel and cory tank), and a plastic pot (from jack and convict tank). The pot and rock had sat out and dried before going into the empty tank. The plants I got 3 weeks ago and was told might have rainbow eggs. Never saw a fish.
Now in the tank, I have HUNDREDS of newborns swimming around. They were not in there last night when unknown did a water change.
So weird.......... | |

| Oh, and I sure didn't see any eggs either since we have been watching tanks like a hawk. | |

| They are currently too small to identify. Once they have grown a little, I'll get some pics posted. At the moment, they are just little specs swimming around. | |

| Sure they are fish and not some critter? I've found some strange things in my tank and I'm sure TX has about as many strange critters as FL |

| Skeeter larvae are hard to confuse with fish.... but there are quite a few little water bugs that can look like tiny fry..... |

| Mosquitoes would not have the opportunity to get into this tank. It is the farthest part of the house from doors and a skeeter would have 11 cats to get past. The odds of skeeters is just not there. | |

| Swimming like fry. Shaped like fry as well. We'll just have to wait and see what they turn out to be. It's just strange to find them in only 1 of 24 running tanks. | |

| They also cluster together in small groups throughout the tan when the light is on. This morning, they were huddled together in the bottom corner. | |
