So I converted my home office closet into more fish tank/grow out room. I did this last Aug., but just got around to photos...
It's two 55G barrels, one with a DIY filter, and one with a suspended from the closet shelf HOB biowheel. one 29G fry tank, and my 10G QT tank...

Whatcha think, what wouldya change maybe?

what is growing in the barrels? it seems like it would be hard to clean out. I feel what your doing though, i took my girl china cabinet out a living room closet and added some tanks.

I have some Kenyi and Hap Blu Ahlis in the one closest to the door and I have a few small Red Empress along with some various peacock females that are recovering from breeding, and OB females that I don't want to breed any longer...

For the clean up I bring in a empty 55G barrrel and attached a powerhead to a 3/4" hose which I suck the bottom of the barrels with. I then clean my other 3 tanks (55G, 75G, and 110G) in the office with the standard syphon... After I clean all the tanks (or just do W/C) I put the hose out the window and use the powerhead to dispose of the dirty water... Then I run a hose in for whatever water I removed back to the then empty barrel, treat the water, and then powerhead it back to all of the tanks. No more lifting 5G buckets...

Hope that makes some sense...
