MALE or FEMALE????? That is the question!!!!

i have been trying to figur this fish out since i got it. is this bumble bee a male or female????

i know!!!!! this is my fav fish. he goes from orange to black real fast, looks awsome when he does it. i really want to find a female for him. any sugg?

It does look like a male but the only way to be 100% sure is to vent. I can walk you through it but that does take some practice too but once you learn it it is pretty easy. Also believe it or not cichlids do sometimes take on the opposite sex coloration either for intimidation or for protection. I have a tank of chewers and a couple of my males act as females so not to get picked on. I have some babies now but to small to tell wether they r male or female only about an 1" to an 1.5" I plan on sellling them and I have done shipping in the past if you r interested and want to wait for them to get big enough for breeding.
