Pet-o-rama is a gigantic rip-off. Even petsmart or petco is cheaper. Call PetLand and ask them if they can special order it for you. Norm. its not bad of a price. I got a $5 Texas Cichlid that is UBER mean!

These are the slowest growing plecos available. If you buy a 2-3" you wont have to worry about size for about 4-5 years, no joke. This grow extremely slow. I have had a 3" for about 6 months and not grown a bit. I have had 4 before this one and never once did any of them grow.

Also this fish REQUIRE driftwood as part of their diet. Hence why this is my 5th one lol. I just found this out before i bought this. Also these fish can handle a high PH, i have mine in my Malawi's at 8.0 right now.

And as with most plecos there colors fade dramatically as they grow. They will lose all color when full grown. mad

L081 is fine dots (whiteish-yellow dots, broad bands)
L177 is large dots (yellow dots, broad bands)

Also the L018 usually has very minor yellow bands on its fins as you can see in the pics.

All plecos require wood in the tank to chew on. This is true with most algae eaters as well.
