Where did you see that? I have 30 something tanks and most of them have plecos...and all of them have no wood.

yes this is news to me too. I thought it was just certain one because i have had many plecos and never have had wood unless i just got lucky. Maybe all just benefit from it maybe? But after experimenting with driftwood I love the way it looks so it will always be added to all my tanks from now on... pleco or not

Okay I wasn't going to chime in on that post. Since some already have. I only have wood with my GN,BN and Rhino. All my common's don't have the wood diet.

They all do better with wood. Some may not need wood to survive but they all appreciate it. I have heard it from several reliable sources over the years. If you have a pleco in a tank and you don't like the look of wood stick a small piece behind a rock so they can get to it and you can't see it. Your plecos will thank you. This is also very true with farowella catfish Mine is on wood 75% of the time.

Yes fern is right they love wood... Ever since i have added wood my GN Pleco is loving his home... Also my common pleco seems to spend alot a time on or around my wood setup so I am leaning towards all plecos definately appreciate the added touch.

Just add some wood for them and let me know how much time they spend on it and how much better they look and act.

Also another clarification, the only plecos I've ever had has been a common back when I was 6 years old and the 3 rubber lipped I got a few days ago. So I don't have much proof on the statement but I've been told it many many times over the years.
