| Not really. You can breed them without one. I have a lot of success without one. But you can buy an extract of almond leaves called Atison's Almond tea leaves extract. Go to Amazon's, Aquabid or ebay or your local pet stores. | |

| Apparently, I went to search for the product I recommended and the Ocean nutrition Atison's betta Spa ( that's the product name - for the almond tea extract ) is already out of stock or may be no longer available. You can use any black water extract that are available in the market. The fish food are still available and is under Ocean nutrition brand, Atison's betta pellet. I bred betta back on the 2006 - 2008. And I currently no longer breeding them. | |

| DON'T knock yourself out trying to find it. With a good healthy pair you can breed very successfully without it. I used Indian Almond Leaves a few times but mostly bred without them. | |
