| Yes it is, I just pick up two more ten gal. and will be moving every one to the same room. Not going with that under gravel filter when it get's move. Going to all sponge filter and C3 Filters. | |

| C3 filters? are they canister filters and you will use the sponge as the intake?
I am familiar with power filters (Hang on back), canister filters, undergravel filters, and power heads.
I use two power heads in reverse flow with an undergravel system in my 20 gallon tank (Penguin 660R power heads running reverse flow); each one is set on a Hydrosponge for 40 gallon tank sponge filters and they blow the water and air down the riser tube and under the plate for the undergravel filter system. I also use a power filter intended for 35-45 gallon tanks on one each of my two other 20 gallon tanks. My 75 gallon has a power filter (Marineland Emporer 280) and a canister filter on it (Marineland 350 deluxe).

| D.Gray, The C3 are made by Fluval it's a hang on. I have a C4 on one of my 30gal and it does a great job. C3 for adult fish and sponges for fry's. | |

| I have a 20 with powerheads running reverse flow blowing the water and air down the risers and under the filterplate (I use Hydrosponge for 40 gallon tanks covered in panty hose as pre-filters).
You might try some sponge filter material as a sleeve for your intake on the power filter and then use panty hose to cover the pre-filter sponge. I use a rubber band to hold the panty hose to the filter intake.

| On my fry tank the sponge material is much finer. And I have no problem with the power filters It's all good | |
