| I have been doing a lot of research in the past few weeks and I have read that it is possible to keep more than one male betta in the same tank if it is large enough. I am a little skeptical about this though because I do not want any of my fish to be injured. I have a 125 gallon tank with some tetras, groumies, and angels in it. Do you think I could put two males in it safely? Has anyone ever tried this? | |

| You would have to have LOADS of hiding places for them. It has been tried but I personaly don't think it's a great idea. the thing that would really concern me is the gourmies and the angels which are both very aggressive fish. You could end up with finless Bettas. If you wanted to try it I would do it on a day when your going to be home all day to keep and I on things. The two male Bettas being your first worry and the others too. Good luck and let me know how it goes. | |

| IMO. They are going to find each other one way or another and the weakest will be killed

| Thanks...do you think that one would be okay? I have tons of rock caves and live plants for them to hide in. My gourmies are pretty small and they are new. They arent any bigger than my betta yet. I wouldnt put him in the tank but i was thinking that if the breeding went well i would put one or two of the babies in the tank when they are big. | |

| i would still be careful of wat u put in there i got a 55 and i hav my female bettas in there but i got community fish in there, so i really dont hav any issue except for my females being to aggressive to eachother but i put more caves and plants so they seem much happier. wen they fight up on the surface, i normally break it up and they stop. very smart fish, my community wished they wer smart like them, lol. | |

| I have a male betta and a female betta living in a 10 gallon together. They don't mind eachother, and actually enjoy it. BUT, I've had them together since they were fry. SO i dunno about a male and a male.. | |

| one of my males got into the other side where i had my other male. they faught like crazy. wen i woke up and saw my young male on the other side in the corner looking dead, i was upset s i went to grab him, he started to move and wiggle so i rushed to grab a vase and put him in there and did betta revive. now hes doing great but i will never do that again. so i would be very careful. | |

| Personally I would not put a two male Bettas in the same tank unless the tank was divided with one male on each side.I like to keep the male Bettas in small tanks.I have never had any luck with Bettas in tanks larger than 30g.All the Bettas that ever lasted for me were in 3 to 5 gallon tanks by them selves.I have put two males in a 55g one time heavily planted and they wanted to fight to the death although I didn't let them. | |

| i would add some hiding places so they wont fight for one territory, i never seen two betta males together and not killing themselves, but hey anything is possible in acuarium world!!.. | |

| ya i had my separated but my young jumped into my older boys side. thats why i hav so many small tanks to keep my male bettas separate. my females r more docile so u can hav more than one in a big tank like that. | |
