If your talking about getting tanks for the fry swap you can probably get away with out doing that unless you want to just setup one tank to a decent temp to float stuff in.

I got a lot of fish and tank + accessories I will be getting rid of , if you want something let me know ill set it aside. I know somewhat unfair since people that been to my house know everything I have haha.

hey sorry for the late reply ,no actually i got them off someone here locally.right now i have one of the larger ones guarding half the tank and a smaller one sitting in a hole it dug, if anything gets even close to half way of my 55 gallon tank it chases it off

you might try puting an add on craigslist, if that doesnt work then i would try animal jungle even though they pissed me off the last coupld of times i went

Electric blue what? There are a lot of blue cichlids. Remeber 55g 3 species is pushing it, go for the least aggressive.

what do u recommend then? i thought yellows where mellow tempermant

yellow labs are prety docile, and from what i understand red zebras are too. uhm for blue fish im not sure exactly what you want but i had a blue acei and it seemed pretty mild tempered but 3 species is geting to the point where you might wanna think about only having that..

ok imfine with the labs and zebras next question how many of each ?i have 2 of each right now nothing else in tank and there about 1 inch
