New guy here

Hello everyone my name is Brian and I am new to this forum. I was told about this forum by a local that I had given a pair of jds to. I live in Virginia beach and was surprised to hear there was a club/association in the area. I have navigated the site a little bit but need to explore a bit more to get the feel for it. I'm interested in attending a meeting and meeting fellow hobbyists in the area. So if someone could please point me in the right direction to finding meeting times and dates It would be greatly appreciated.

We are currently deciding the next meeting date and will have it posted as soon as possible. We are however planning on having a group trip up the ACA event at the end of July if that is something you would be interested in.

I was planning on going to the convention but plans have changed. I can't make the 4 days due to work, but might try to go for Saturday or Sunday, but there is a slim chance. Very excited to find out when the next meeting is. I don't have many people in the area that I can share experiences or talk to about fish keeping. I talk mostly on forums about the hobby but not to people in person. Most people look at me like the crazy fish guy (crazy cat woman).lol Thanks for the info Ben.

Glad to see word of mouth is getting around.

Talk to Ben I am sure he can point you in the right direction as far as attending meetings and getting involved with the club.
