| I'm going to introduce two new members here so that you can arrange to sit next to them to pick their brains! RyanH specializes in Victoria cichlids. Ya got a question about them? He'll most likely have the answer. WARNING: He was raised in KY by an Irish Grandma so mix those two accents and you end up challenged! DeadRed raises Flowerhorns.. for those of you unfamiliar with them, they were first introduced into the aquarium world......well.. I'll mess it up but I assure you DR won't! | |

| These are very close to the Makobe Is... (I have those too!) I got my Makobe Is. colony from Sandy at ACA and her fish won several awards, they are something else! However this one is actually one of the ones from Mwanza Gulf... I have Rutis, Igombe's, Python Is and Anchor Is. Pundamilia Nyererei is one of the most colorful Cichlids out there. As for the one in my avatar it really is Red in real life, the flash gives it some orange sheen but in person there isn't much orange!
What Victorians do you keep?

| Good news! Yesterday, only a week after my request was sent, CaribSea sent me a large donation of products for our auction. There are five boxes, and two more on the way! (<- UPS guy.) 102 pounds total weight! (So, I'll forgive you - Ben - if you help me carry some heavy boxes!) | |

Ooooh, got any Anchor Island fry?! Right now I'm breeding Lithochromis xanthopteryx, and I've got a small group of A. latifasciata, which I'm seriously considering rehoming to make room for a PN group. I really don't care much for the latifasciatas' personality - they're like little jackals. I've got big dreams, but a small house. We hope to be moving in the next couple of years, though. BTW, do your Mwanzas have the blue ventral side? | |

| I will plan on bringing some common salvinia (floating plant) but I just realized that 5/8 is Mother's Day. I'll have to see what I can work out, since I'm a mother and my family will have something planned for me and for my own mother who lives locally. | |

| Yeah mothers day probably isn't the best date to have a fish function! Not that I mind of course but the wife might see it a little differently! She'd say, "I don't care if you go to the fish meeting", but she'll mean (If you go to the fish meeting don't come back!) JB | |

| Head's up to all: The meeting date is going to be changed to later in the month, so be on the lookout for a revision to this thread or a new one announcing the new date. Sorry for the confusion!! I don't think any of us realized the holiday when we agreed on the 1st Sunday of every other month. | |
