| [rant]Am I the only one that continues to be surprised when these things cr@p themselves and shock the living piss out of me when I put my hands in the tank? And why am I then surprised that it's the rio pump causing the problems? How many times do I legitimately go through this before I START the troubleshooting at the stupid rio pump? So after an evening of electric shock therapy, I have no skimmer. [/rant off]
So looks like a maxi-jet 1200 mesh mod coming soon to a CPR bak pak near me. In the mean time i'll be running carbon on the tank to hopefully neutralize chemical waste before it stacks too high. As of this morning nitrates still holding under 5 ppm. | |

| Oh that sucks. I wish there was a consumer's review type of forum that posts opinions/reviews of fish keeping equipment. | |

| I lost a chromis, but I think the regal killed it. I watched in awe as my CUC dismantled the corpse. Nothing lasts dead in my tank for more than 6 hours. Everything coral wise looks fine. | |

| I have had trouble with the Rio pumps too. I have had the cords burn of them and the bare wire in the sump while it was pluged in. I switched to Mag Drive pumps. | |

| I've got 2 koralia 1's for flow and a viaaqua pump running my aquafuge. Flow and movement aren't much of a problem, and certainly don't warrant the expense of vortecs in my nano. Rio is just that brand you hear everyone talking about on boards but shrug it off and figure you'll use until you get burned too. I felt like homer simpson... "DOH! Not that one! ... DOH! Not that one!" | |

| Right so opinions?
1.) Replace the Rio 600 2.) Buy new Accela pump that's shipping with the CPR bak pak 3.) MaxiJet 1200 mod
