Been taught this lesson only 1 time but was very informative so I always kill power before reaching in I can say if the wife wasn't there It would've been way worse I was not able to release my grip on the metal stand or think to do much of anything was a surprise and shocking lesson lucky that she pulled the plug saving my you know what so what I can say is don't mess with electricity around water no matter what ha ha lol seriously

Stealths have been junk for years, so this is no surprise. In a related article ... Is special K fish you get from KMX?

i used to like the HOB heaters that clamped on the back, and the fully submersible ones always made me nervous for this reason alone. but now im forced to put faith into todays products cuz the those old heaters are just too old and i dont trust used ones

Lol I used to have a big ole 14 inch pacu that broke my heater too. he was scared of that side of the tank for weeks.

It really isn't as dangerous as everyone thinks it is. I used to do underwater electrical connections for pumps in lakes. If there was a problem with the line I would find it by swiming around until the electrical leak into the water felt stronger. once found, I would simply go turn off the power and make the repairs.
