| The one thing that bugs me more then anything is when you set a heater to 80 and the next morning your water is like 89 b/c the heater sucks and dose not do what it is suppose to do.
For example I set my show tank heat up to 83. Woke up this morning and it was almost 90 in the TANK!!! WTF!!!!! I Thought these jager heaters were good stuff? Killed my Super Electra, my new msobo and my Calvus...
Is there any heaters that anyone would recomend that they have used and never had a problem with. Also has anyone ever seen one that you can set digitaly and make sure the temp dose not go over the set temp. Just looking to some advice on heaters ....

| The one brand heater i have used thru the past years has been the Won Pro Heat subs titanium heater with the control outside the tank.. i have used these on mostly my larger tanks and tubs with great accuracy and never had one to fail. I have a 500watt that is over 8yrs old. http://www.wonbrothers.com/product/heater/ICHEATER.htm | |

| I love the Marineland Stealth heaters. Have NEVER had a problem with them, and the new ones come with indication lights. Well worth the price.
I have them on all my tanks.

| I have used many brand names and never set one and walked off believing it would be on the money.........It is wise to set the things and make time to observe them so you can adjust as needed. | |

| Fluval has a new heater that does what you are looking for. Are they good? I don't know - haven't used one. They are expensive though. However, they do display the temperature and everything right on there so... Check out the Fluval Vuetech E Series Heater | |

| I use marine stealth heaters. Every now and then they turn off by themselves( even though the water is freezing.) | |

| I have 2 300-watts of what Gator has and I do have to do as Dano said and check my temp and turn down....haven't had a bad rise in temp and haven't had any loss (sorry to hear about that kmx) but i do have to watch them...i figured it was because i had 300watts on a 55 but i even have to adjust the 125 so just another part of fish keeping as i don't feel the heaters are malfunctioning
on my other tanks, i use the stealths as i do not like glass heaters since i have dojos who like to move things and glass breaks too easy
when i hit the lottery (dang forgot to play again last night) LOL...i will invest in those new fluvals
headed to the TCA today...come on out to Irving for those who don't want to drive too far

| I use the cheaper submersible ones, heaters have a limited lifetime so why pay an arm and a leg? |
