Thinking of putting my saulosi group in with my white top hara and red empress. What are the chances of the saulosi and white tops hybridizing?

White tops. 1m 5f
Saulosi. 2m 4f

125 gal tank

Both groups are both breeding like crazy! Also concerned about the males being blue/barred and aggression. Don't want hybrids.

If both were Cynos or both were Psudos then I would say no.

I've mixed Cynos and psedos in a 65 gallon tank before. They more or less leave each other alone and mate with their own species. Not saying that there is not a chance of hybridizing but less likely if the tank is big enough to house both colonies and they have sufficient females of their own.

Thanks guys, I felt that being from two different genus' they would probably not hybridize, but I know that is not always the case. Thanks for the input. I might give it a shot.

Went ahead and put the saulosi in the 125. Everyone seems to be getting along fine. I also have a few more females u am growing out that I will add when they get a little bigger.

Thanks to everyone for the quick response and great advice.
