| I am from Canandaigua, about an hour or so west of Syracuse, or just southeast of Rochester. I will be very active on these boards and love to meet others from around here. I have had tanks most of my life, all tropical, and most small size tanks from 10 to 30 gallons so far. Also not huge on the aggressive fish such as cichlids and oscars, but I love fish and tanks everywhere. Also, learning about living plants as I dont remember those being big when I was younger, so Im enjoying that as well. I guess that is a very long winded way to say hello. lol. Jon | |

| Where the heck were you folks when I lived in the burbs of Rochester?.. Good luck with building your club! Here in Richmond, Va, (same size as Rochester).. we drew 19 for our initial/formation meeting in January, 17 for first official meeting in March... during a MONSOON! At least a dozen folks either didn't make it due to the weather or had other obligations but assured us they wouldn't miss the next! We've decided on bi-monthly meetings so as to not wear out the concept or something.. Between Roch and Syr (3 seed in the NCAA).. you should have a big club once word gets out! We are fortunate that a few retailers (no big-boxers) have gotten behind us and have spread the word.. a venue you might want to consider. In fact one "by invitation" retailer hosted our last meeting and has agreed to host the next two! I'm hoping we outgrow his facilities! Bill | |

LOL I hope nothing like that happens to us when we have our first meeting but yeah I am honestly getting the gitters thinking of how big we can get once the word gets out. But yeah i was thinking of holding our meetings at a local wegmens where they also have other types of clubs hold meetings there | |
