Welcome all those from Southern Nevada! Let's get our community going. Our first meeting will be coming up in March. More information to come. If you'd like to participate or have ideas for any of our meetings, feel free to send me a message!

I'm entertaining ideas for the first meet and greet.
here are a few ideas:
Saltwater enthusiasts - frag exchange
Freshwater - fry exchange

Topics - Lighting, Filtration, and other specialty products.

Focus fish/animal

I was going to check with some local fish stores about sponsoring one of the meetings or using their store. that may be down the line.

We could even put together a trip to Shark Reef or if anybody has connections to some of the casinos that have large aquariums.


This is a group thing, so any ideas are welcomed.

All are great ideas. Rem though 1st meeting just more of a meet n greet exchange phone numbers and get to know one another. Most important thing. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

I think Flappy is still hammering out the details. All I know is it's likely to be a Saturday evening :)

I can't wait! I haven't had the chance to make many friends here in Vegas since I moved and none of my family understand my little fish fetish.

Meet and Greet is scheduled for March 26th at 6pm. I am narrowing down the excat location. There are a few options I'm looking at.

Location will be at Macayos Las Vegas at 4457 West Charleston. Hopefully this will be central to everybody's location.

I am still waiting on more confirmations from members. There are a few that have RSVP-ed with yes.

I have made a few contacts this past weekend, and plan to visit a couple more lfs for displaying flyers.

Hey Flappy, saw your post on Craigslist. I have a bunch of connections with local stores. I own an advertising/printing/web company here in town. If you guys would like we can head over to my buddy's place called Acrylic Tank Manufacturing. They have some fish in stock as well. They actually have a TV show called "Tanked" premiering in late April or May on Animal Planet. You can google it and check it out. Let me know if you guys are interested. I can also see if we could get the FishBox on the show along with the meeting. It would be some really good publicity for the site. Let me know.
