55g build

First topic message reminder :

my journal will start here for my 55g build.

I had the stand, and canopy. got a 55g plus from neptunes cove for $60.00, a over flow box,tubing,sump, and return pump off of craigslist for $80.00 water from neptunes cove, and extra sand from neptunes cove.

just need to get the rock, from banito(jimmy) to night and I will be rocking and a rolling.)

that whats up! its a process unless your just ballin and rich lol were you asking if the pump will work for the skimmer or if it will work in the tank in general?

both if one would work, for the skimmer, and if one would work as a return pump. now that I got light, I finely get my car back from getting a new clutch kit and the whole transmission rebuilt. 2,700 dollars.. might have to down size my tank.. boo.

well its too weak for the coralife 65 skimmer. the factory pump for that skimmer pushes about 350gph

what about as a return. or would it work for a return on a 30g(36x12x17)...

not sure i dont see y not but id prolly want a bigger one but i guess it depends on how much water u want moving so to speak, you should message c whip. my tank is drilled so i dont used any plumbing

cool, I'll pm here or call up one of my fish friends.. I have my rio but it's going out, and would like to replace it... the quit one 1200 are only 25.00 at petsmart 296gph so i thought that is a good deal.

yea sounds like a deal to me lol id snag it i ended up with 2 extra power heads(gave um away though) after about a year b/c my corals werent too happy with all the movement lol so just be patient and adjust your tank when accordingly and when you have the means to...its a growing process and ive learned the hard way slow is a better pace and its alot easier to do little things and then decrease or increase what ya doin then to rush and go big

I down sized to a 40g.. and put it right by bed. got it all going good in the 40g.
now just trying to fixure out what to do with the 60g.
