GPH ques

If i have 300 gph of water movement in my tank and i added a air pump does that figure into that 300gph???? Also is 300gph ok for around 50 gallons of water for smaller (3-5 inch) NW cichlids?? Also this tank will have some plants....

Which New world Cichlids?As thay are all different due to bioloads IE: oscars need more filtration then say an dwarf cichlid. Air does nothing but add O2 unless it's a sponge or box type filter.

six times your 50 gallons should be more than enough filtration..
