| I saw an aquarium in CL and the guy said he had a pair of fire eels in it, I am more interested in the eels than the tank, but idk if they would go in my 55 gallon tank, any information about these would be very helpful. thanks

| Fire eels you need a completely covered tank as they are escape artist. Also they burrow and dig up plants. |

| From everything I am reading I would say no. Looks like they dont do well with their own kind and a minimum of 50g is suggested for one fire eel. If you are planning on getting them they need a sandy or soft substrate as they like to dig. Also a tight lid because they try to escape a lot. That is the info I have found from using google. Not a ton of info on them but maybe somebody on here can guide you in the right direction. | |
