Hey guys. Take a look at this video of my Jag and Synspillum and tell me what you think they're doing. Not sure if this is just a dominance thing or if they're actually "interested" in each other. Also, can someone tell me if my Jag is male or female. It's about 4" or so.

IMO (video is blurry), your Vieja is a male the jag and jack dempsey are female. What I see the Vieja doing is the typical waving over the spawning site. Aggression between males will be head to head jaw to jaw, not the case here. So you may soon see some fry soon if either of the females become interested.

Hey, thanks for the response.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking also. It was different than the usual head to head charge at each other which is normally seen over dominance. It looked like the Syn was cleaning the rock. And that is the Jag's preferred area to hang out. I'll keep a watch out for further activity.
