They hav turned out great! Very nice! I havent said a whole lot been tired working til midnight this whole week. Whisper ur boys look great and I bet u'll get one melano! He looks lik he will throw one. Hope the babies go really well and im up for grabs for one of the nice boys and girls that u dub them to be really nice that u wont keep ur self lol. Hope everything goes well.

pillie out of ten spawns you should have had some .LOL Tell me what you routine is with your spawning. Are you taking the male out soon enough? Are you leaving the female in to long and she's eating the eggs? Is the male eating the eggs or the fry? Sometimes you'll get a male that will be an egg eater in that case he will be no good for breeding.

he eats the eggs or let them go and not blow the bubble. i feed them blood worms 2 weeks in advance and put them together her in a vase for 3 days or so then let her go, they do the deed but his bubble nest is not very good and then he lets it fall apart and he sometimes eats them but not as often he just floats away and lets the bubbles fall apart. it might be bc their in a busy area but i try to find a place to be far away but somehow wen its not a busy place it becomes one lol. ill try again but idk, can i use brine shrimp this time bc thats all i have at the momment

Mine spawn any place the tanks is. You can try wrapping the tank with printer paper. I really don't think that is the problem though. Sounds like he just isn't going to be a good breeder. Could be the eggs are infertile and that's why he's not taking care of them and eating them. Try a different male next time....... Oh and don't go crazy trying to condition them. I don't do that anymore and I have had real good spawns..............Oh I just thought of this too. I used to have problems with the eggs getting like a film on them when I used treated water. I found out that it's from the dechlorinater. It gets all over the eggs. I now use nothing but RO water for my spawns and have had every spawn hatch.

okay do i need to treat the ro water or no? i can get ro water really cheap lol

No. We make our own RO water at home and I don't add anything to it. Also that's all I use for water changes for the fry when they get old enough for water changes which is about two weeks old.

okay i def can do that i hav 5 gallon containers and get some water from them, then start with that, my males are fat!!!! and i probably try my ohm boy i think she told me that hes been bred once.
