My boy friends betta named Purkle, hes a butterfly half moon and roughly 1.5-2 years old


My betta named Opal, hes a butterfly half moon cellophane and about a year or so old.

Yup they are doing great, Purkles tail is even starting to grow back some from the filter incident.....

what happened to him?

His tail got caught on the filter intake I think.... one day it was just tore up and I know it wasn't the corys in there..... So now they each have a sponge over their filter intake tube....

Fern they are looking great. Is one of them the one you got from me?...........Yes Bettas are very prone to getting stuck in the filter. That's why I use sponge filters or cover the end with sponge.

And well trained too as soon as I turn their filters off they are in their feeding spots It didn't take Opal long at all to figure that out

I swear they both change color some....... Whisper is that normal?

The betta food I got from Whisper and bloodworms and live blackworms, sometimes they steal a few nls pellets from the corys too.

I got my food from Whisper also.So should I also give him some bloodworms too?

Yes mine get Bloodworms at least two or three times a week............Also Fern yes they will change colors as they mature.

Purkle changes colors some daily. Some days hes more blue some days purple and some days more reddish, its odd.
They get blood worms when I thaw out a bunch for the whole crew same with brine shrimp, and when I buy live black worms they get those as well.

Great diet Fern. No wonder they look so good!
