| OK well I tired Hongs Idea and it didn't go as smooth as I planned only because I used these rocks I found in my backyard LOL but there Nice..... Well I had the drill bit from when I drilled into the cement for this other project I had so I had the tools. But the rock here is so hard that the drill bit didn't even make a dent in the rock. So what I found out was if the rocks were sitting in water for a couple of days, you could chip some pieces of rock off. Well this is what I ended up with I still need more to do so its not done. I still wanna find some of that lava rock. Its hard to see but theres layers in the rock Split it in half They already messed up there new home DAMN IT..... | |

| I`m not sure of the name but if you go to any hardware store the bit should say for cement and rock and so on.... But the lava rock for sure will be a lot easier. The bit I had made holes in my cement just fine.... | |

| It's called a mason bit. And you will need a hammer drill. | |

I used a 3/4" Masonry Drill Bit with a Hammer Drill. You can use the smaller drill bits and utilize a regular drill if you don't have a hammer drill handy, but it'll take more muscle and time. :) | |

| A hammer drill would be nice. I knew it was a masonry bit because I've used one. I was hoping he had the brand. My dad and I had to drill holes in our basement floor to lay a faux wood flooring and we burnt through several masonry bits in the process. Granted we had a bunch of holes to drill, there was still some sharpness to be desired. I thought maybe there was a certain brand that was made nicely for this project. Nice job on yours Hong! Hopefully if I try it mine will turn out this good as well! | |

| Most likely it's a masonry drill bit he used. You'd need a hammer drill though to make the holes and not be at it all day! | |
