Here's my temporary setup for the class 'panfish' and crayfish. I call it 'temporary' because they'll be moved to a 55G as soon as I can arrange/afford it. Wasn't meaning to have this many, but the owner of the pond-stocking fish truck whom I got them from - just handed me a bag full of 'em! And the TWRA officer informed me that they CANNOT be released into anything other than a pan - so I'm stuck with all of them in the 29G for now.

Psstt: Crayfish are hiding in their 'homes' under the terricotta pieces.

Must admit, I'm finding the changing red/blue colors of the perch most fascinating! They're so fun to watch. And it appears they control the color changing and use it as a form of communication. Pics of the Temporary Native Tank 265353

Yes our american native fish have been underestimated for far to long. They look healthy. Hope you can get the 55 gal soon.
