so these two are in a 2.5 gallon tank with .5 divided for the female hes starting his bouble nest i have a capatta leave and moss hes loving it she looks ready with her vertical lines she won 2nd place in her category and her brothers dad won 1st best in show at the ibc show in california

Sometimes it's very hard to see the eggs. Take a flashlight and look into the nest from undernieth. Is he keeping her wawy from the nest? If he seens to be then they may be done. If they haven't yet the fighting can go on for three days. How long has she been in with him?

Does he have a nest built? I don't see one.

Ok. Do you see any tiny eggs on the bottom of the tank or does he seem to be going down to pick any up? How long has she been in with him?

i dont see any eggs and no he hasnt picked anything to put back in his nest just moving round his nest and thats it he'll come close to the female but doesnt attack or bother her she just stays at the top and rests on the plants.

his nest does look thicker, more bubblier if thats a word, im trying to get a good pic but i really dont want to diturb him but i see keep blowing bubbles continuously. if he doesnt like somethin he will blow more bubbles

last nite. round 9pm i would of do it earlier but i worked all day

bout a week, i fed them with bloodworms before that so theyv been fed bloodworm for 2 weeks and on the second week they were in the same tank.

pilli i dont know what whisper would say but i take them out after 5 days if no eggs are their i only have 12 servivors so far from my pair my 1st time with halfmoons so it kind o sucks to see only 12 so far their so tiny their like 2 weeks old remove him wait a couple of days and make sure she has her vertical lines and his nest is big and try again good luck pilli its really time and patients

Maybe I need to get some females also cuz my male made his bubble nest.

ya im waiting, i havent seen anything yet my my female is just floating in the corner, shes alive but thats all she does and hes near the nest.

Pill you can take her out and condition them both for a few weeks.

ya i took her out hes still at the nest guarding it, so im going to wait for the cuple of days to see if anything happend if not ill take him out clean the water then try again ill try my multi instead bc my other girl look so comatosed and i dont wat her to get hurt to bad and lose her. so maybe ill wait for a few more day see wat he has nothin happens ill start conditioning them both again. my other multi is bigger than the one i tried with and shes ready shes got the stripes so hopefully this other try will work.

ya but idk know for sur if he has any eggs so in a couple of days ill know for sure then ill clean out the tank feed the bloodworms for 2 weeks and try again
