55gl Progress..

Heres my 55gl with some plants added and sand, im gonna put some driftwood and river rocks this week..

4 Leleupis
3 Mickey plattys (are temporaly there)

I like the sand. Where did it come from?

Wow the lelupis have grown! Good job they look to be quite happy! Let me know how those plants hold up in there

The sand came from home depot (pool sand), the plattys are holding up pretty good with the leleupis, im so desperate to find them a new home cuz i they were suppose to make little feeders for my mbunas but nothing..., yeah the leleupis are growing pretty good they are already building caves inside the clay pots..

Just in case you forgot those lelupis are F1's

yeah i know they are F1, i will sell the frys when they ever breed, i think they have calmed temperament compare to other cichlids, a little nippers, they are diggers and like to set their own territory very well..

Alk- i thaught you said you were getting rid of all your cichlids and going s/w only.? I just sold the five i had. they were beating up everything i put in the tank with them. they got a bit nasty.

i will let you know alk, they grow up to 4.5"

They can be mean, I had a mated pair in a 55g with 2 black calvus. One calvus was getting picked on by everyone so he got moved. They chased the other calvus clear out of the tank....... So now they are in their own 30g.

well i ended up getting a bigger SW tank for pretty much free:)
so i think ill be ok for now with my 100g fresh!
ill most likely end up only keeping my male moorrii and 2 women ladies for him along with my calvus and fronts and mayne some lelupei cuz their so small!

No I still have them.... looks like they may be working on a 3rd batch of eggs here soon.

Nothing big enough to sell yet, they grow slow.....
