wat can i feed my fish??

i know that u can feed ur fish fruit and veggis sometimes!
i see em doo it all the time at petsmart and petco!
they feed the fish oranges, pees, squash and stuff!!!
i wanna know if theirs any other type of fruit and veggis that fish wud eat?
i wanna know wat (if u do) u feed ur fish......
so far iv tried oranges....ehh they picked at it a lil...by the end of the day it was gone.....
watermelon......my green severums loved it.....so far thats all iv tried lol

Great info fern!!!! i fed my fish last night and this morning!!
last night they were just tryin to avoid the food!! lol they still gotta get used to it alil,
i made a new mix with a lil bit of fish and raw meat! they all started to pick at it this morning. didnt put any garlic in it! imma start with that! but yeah!
their startin too like the food. so heres to better food fatter wallets and good info from very good ppl!!!

Glad they're finally taking to the new food. I think just having a little fish in the mix probably helps quite a bit.

i think mixin the meat and the fish made a big difference in their liking!!! lol
they like the more meaty mix so thats wat ima stick with for now!! lol

i get my veggies/fruits at the 99 cent store and usually get a 3 pack. don't use iceberg lettuce as it lacks nutrients.

for cheap fish, i keep my eye on the mexican food stores...el rancho, el grande, and also fiesta. i can usually get tilapia for 99 cents/lb. this week i got the seafood soup mix (has a little bit of everything in it including squid) for $1.99/lb. costs a bit more but had alot more variety in it.

the soup mix is just a variety of fresh seafood. i haven't used it yet. it looked great. i am trying to get a bunch of seafood and freeze it as the oil spill in the gulf will be driving seafood prices SKYHIGH. you are in california and probably dont have to worry about the oil affecting your seafood or the prices

Sometimes I feed my fish letuce and they like it and sometimes karrots.

avoid land animals, the meat is hard on the fishes intestines.

well iv been making my fish into veggi freaks!!!
i recently bought some wardly pellet food that they dont like! they just leave it!
now i feel like i waisted $$ on this food cuz itsw a pretty big bucket and dont even bother with the stuff!
u think if i mix it up with their frozen food theyll eat it?
i was thinkin bout that but then i thought that just cuz the pellets are mixed with it they wont eat it lol
my fish are real spoiled and picky!!!

You can try to mix it in with some home-made stuff. Make sure you grind the pellets up first, though. If it stays in the mix as pellets, they will probably just eat around them.
