I currently run two HOB's on my two 55 gallon tanks. Is it better for me electricity wise to buy two canister filters and just run those, or is it better to leave the two HOB's? Anyone know?

I would say it wont be to big of a diffrence in use. I would think you could get 1 cannister to run the whole tank just fine.

Look at the electric stats on both and you will have your answer, some pull more some pull less.

Filters 858205 One canister should be plenty and you reduce clean-up by half.

I'm saying replace two HOB's with one canister. Will that reduce electricity? I am trying to figure out a way to make it more energy efficient.
