| here is my hillstream loach They like faster water, and are good for a mature tank as they like to use their body to stick to the side of the tank and eat some of the algae (they also eat fish flakes like the Tetra brand fish foods). Dave | |

The other side looks like a skate or sting ray. I have tried to get a good picture of his other side, but he doesn't stay still long enough for my manual focus lens. Dave

| They are pretty fragile from what I have read and have a lot of specific needs. You pretty much need to do a species or bio-type tank with these guys. |

| If you get them from Niko (invertzfactory), they are pretty hardy.. I have had 6 in a 25g with a bunch of red honduran point fry and they did well. From what i read the only requirement is that they need fast moving water and plenty of algae to feed on.
The only thing i hate about them is when it comes to catching them... they are pretty fast and they will try their hardest to not come off of the glass.

| That's who I got mine from--excellent shipping methods !!!!!
You can substitute great aeration for the fast moving water. They like it a little on the cool side, so that cool spot in the fishroom..........
They are a flat-out bi+ch to try to catch. Don't take out any rocks without examining it very closely--probably got one or two of these guys locked on with the Venutian anti-gravity grip!!!!
