Black Congo White Pearl Calvus fry

Two more batches of Black Congo White Pearl calvus fry today they are about 1/32 of an inch...super dinky. the bigger ones are from last batch.These are from the previous parents and a new pair breeding for the first time.

just found another group in a cave, so 57 more fry.

calvus fry are always so small. i recall the first time i tired to collect some i thought it was poop not fry in my bucket lol.

Still growing and no losses. I will put pics up a couple times a week.

latest pics...they have doubled in size and are extremely fast now.lost about five to unknown reasons. overall doing quite well. they are moving up to finley ground brine shrimp flake with their cyclops.

Feed them newly hatched brine shrimp 5 to 6 times a day to max. growth.

they get a mix of baby brines and cyclops, now augmented with powdered brineshrimp flake. they are growing fast and total losses on this hatch have been 5. hard to count but there are close to a hundred still going, most likely a few more than i think as a picture of half the box shows 78 but the little suckers are so freaking active. I have two females that are acting like they have eggs in their caves so i will have more soon .... I am expanding the brooder setup to 36" inches long 5" inches wide and 8 deep so i can hold them all.
