Looking for the elusive rabbit snails. Does anyone breed/raise them? Would love to get a few.

your best bet with ANY of the Tylomelania snails (there are a few color varieties) is going to be to look at [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] under the snails section.

Remember that some states restrict the importation of snails. For example: in Oregon where I live I can't buy Mystery or Apple snails, in Washington they are even more restrictive and only can bring in a couple types of snails. You will be the one fined and your shipment confiscated if you are caught trying to bring in a specie that isn't allowed in your state. To find out the rules check your local fish and wildlife office.

Thanks for all the info! No, I didn't know there were restrictions on snails. I know there are restrictions on plant material.
Thanks again,

cassiebug :)

In your state there may be no restriction on snails, I am just letting you know it would be a good idea to check with the fish and game office to make sure. There probably won't be a restriction as the environment we have in the wild isn't conducive to the Rabbit Snails survival in the wild; however, some snails are very adaptive to different conditions (Malaysian Trumpet Snails and common pond snails for example).
