I have a 48 in led light on my 100 Gallon. I'm not super happy with it. It doesn't seem to encompass the whole tank. It would probably look better on a smaller tank. I've thought about adding additional lights so the ends aren't dark.

Jstump...are there lenses over the individual LED lights? I have two of the 1W LED model and noticed a post on cichlid-forum where someone recommended removing the lenses as the focus the light into a beam. It took about 5 minutes to remove the lenses (they pop off) with a screwdriver but the difference was very noticeable. There is no more beaming effect and the tank is illuminated in all directions much more now. I am not sure if this would apply to the smaller LED's but it may be worth a try.
