First topic message reminder :

Anybody ever try the Beamworks LED light fixtures? I have seen them on eBay for $69 for 4 ft fixture. It has 162 white LEDs and 12 blue moonlights. I have a 5 ft, 100 gallon and I'm looking to replace my power compact that seemed to have burnt out...

Sorry to hear that. Do you like the colors put out by the LED's? Is it just not reaching deep enough in your tank? I like mine so far but have been thinking about selling it and doing a DIY LED build for the entire tank just so I could have one big fixture.

The colors are great. Just seem to be a lot of dark spots. Just not as bright. It might just take some getting used to. I'll try and take pics and load them.

I did end up keeping it. I Love the colors, however there is some dark spots in the corners and back of the tank. Took some getting used to. I might buy another smaller one just to fill in the dark spots in the future.
