| Ive had a tempered glass aquarium for yrs with scratches all threw it you can even see them shine like a diamond if the light hits them just right. I read the other day that scratches can cause tempered glass to burst and any time but like i said ive had it for yrs and no problems at all...what does everyone think?? | |

| Not to sure on this one. I think every ones tanks are scratched at least on the bottoms where rocks and what not are put. I have plenty of tempered tanks with scratches and no fear. Check this out

| lol thats a good video...tempered glass is strong some people say not to use it for a aquarium cause if it breaks then that entire side of glass blows apart and fish on the floor with all the water but reg glass wouldnt be much diff if a object was to fly into it and just bust the spot it hit cause water is still gonna gush out along with fish kinda the same situation... | |

I have seen two different types of stickers on tempered tanks. One says Tempered Glass do not drill, The other says All panes are tempered do not drill. These are different manufactures so could mean the same thing. Here is a good link to find out what is temperd and what is not. http://glass-fish-tanks.com/how-to-tell-if-your-fish-tank-is-tempered-glass/ | |
