Super Red Empress

Ok I have a beautiful trio of empress the male is better than awesome. This trio breeds at least once a month or more. Yet the females never hold pass 5 days what should I do????

Seriously...Maybe your tank is not big enough for them. Replace them with Mbunas. I use to have them in a 240G remember...I have to let them spit inside the tank and have their fry eaten by my fronts since I get over run with fry.

LOL I cherish these fish I am hoping once I take all others out of the tank they will do better!!!!

Maybe move the female to her own tank once she is holding? I know Jstump is dealing with this too. It could be that the male is just pestering her until she spits the eggs so they can dance again.

ty Jax I think that is exactly what is going on. He is constantly after them!!! Even when they are holding....
