| Feed them frozen bloodworms two or three times a week. This will condition them for breeding and help the female develope eggs. | |

| the females look like they are about to explode they are so fat, do i need more then three, and will freeze dried replace frozen worms? plus, if they have tons of plants do i need to remove them for them to live, i know a way to make prepared micro fauna, {flake dissolved into a cloud, works} and it's released when feeding adults, if i do this will the fry live in their parents tank??????????????? | |

| And to add to your plant question and my answer ever fish needs some swimming space and I think they are schooling fish so if your plants dont allow a little open water its time for a trim . | |

| Condition the barb. Use soft water to spawn. Use a one gallon aquarium with 1 female and two males. Clear bottom so you can shine light up to see the spawn eggs. | |

| I have bred Tiger barbs and long fin Zebra Danios. They are the same to breed. You will need a bare bottom tank with the clear marbles that can be bought at the craft stores for the bottom of the tank. This will keep the adults from eating the eggs as the eggs will drop down between the marbles and the adults can't get to them. They will eat eggs and any fry. Secondly one male to one female ratio is good. As soon as the breeding is done take the male and female out. The fry will hatch in a few days. They are very tiny and hard to see. Have some infursoria ready for them. They are to small to eat BBS right away. | |

| Whisper the next time you spawn barbs or danios try using 2 male to a female and you will see more production. When I spawn them regularly. I set up 500 one gallon aquariums on Thursday. Friday moved the trio together. Left the building until Saturday afternoon. Returned to look for eggs. Tanks with eggs trio removed and returned for more conditioning. Tanks without egg trio was put into another vat for more conditioning. I non breeders were givin one more time if nothing a second time they were sold. Males are keep together as well as females. Feeding is the key to production. | |

| Ok DR. I'll try the trio next time. I have some tiger barbs coming into maturity so I'll try it then. Yes conditioning is very important to successful spawning in any type of fish. | |

| Well I prefer the fresh frozen food for conditioning. I never use freeze dried foods for conditioning. | |
