| After kind of freaking out over the test results from the API Nitrate Test kit I've started to read that it is a rather inaccurate test. While the other API products are apparently pretty spot on, the Nitrate test is apparently poor at best.
So, I'm looking for an accurate test. What have you found works the best? In addition, if you are in the DFW area, where is that type of test avialable? | |

| Tetra makes a test kit similar to the API. I haven't used it yet though. |

| I just change my water once a week smell the water. My gourami has been diarrheaing all over the tank lately and making the water smell. Changing water helps, but he *$h1t's* every 5 minutes. | |

| Phil change the gourami's food.
JMatthew, I misread your post. I assumed you were talking about the master test kit. Yes tetra makes a very good nitrate test kit I have one and its $10-$15 or so but a good test. Its spot on with whatever test kit my LFS uses.
Tera also makes a master test kit that runs along $25 that has multiple tests in it. I bought one and haven't used it yet. |
