New oddball betta pics

Here's a new addition to my collection. Tried to capture the irridescent sheen to him - but its hard to get on film. His shade shifts from pink-to-blue over the black depending on angle. It's like the sheen of a good velvet. I'm not sure if he's some kind of copper or a black.

Here's my orange-yellow VT now that he's fully grown his finnage. He's now got blue edging between the orange/yellow and white butterfly edging.

Here's my original copper HM male. Still one of my favs to watch during commercials. His future woman is behind a glass divider next to him. She lost her top fin in a battle with fungus a while back.

Here's the yellow CT female who turned into a young male. Now he's developing a lot of black body scales. Might end up dark bodied.

And finally, the dark-finned Salmon CT female who also turned into a young male. Also developing black 'dalmation' spots on his body. (he's also a pig who eats at the algae wafers for the snail. That's why his belly's a little big)

Your last two are females. I have circled the egg tubes for you. The last one is a Cambodian. Salamanders have dark bodies with usually red outer fins. From what I can see in the picture her ventral fins are missing. Maybe they just don't show. The other ones ventral fins are much to short to be a male. I would watch her for bloat. Or did she just finish eating?

Thanks, I get Cambodian and Salmon mixed up. As for the two CTs being he/shes. I thought those were egg tubes as well, but They're both a tad bloated since they won't leave the algae waifers alone - so I'm starting to think it's just extended anuses. . But I pretty sure they're both males because when I stuck them behind glass dividers with older males who were building nests - the older males quit building nests and simply wanted to kick their hinneys for an entire week. With my other females - the females showed striping to indicate readiness or lack thereof - and hid alot. These two 'females' were just as ready to duke it out as the older males. Their finnage has been growing a lot longer as well.

Guess we'll just have to wait another month or two on finnage growth.

How old are they? If they are at least three months old they should have long finnage by now if they are males. Well keep us posted on there progress. Good luck.
