| I thought this is very interesting what a difference there is between natural environment vs tank. The big fat one has been in the outdoor Koi pond for about two months and heavy with babies, the smaller one has been in the indoor tank. | |

| It truely is amazing what natural food can do for them. The pond is loaded with all kinds of fry too. They multiply like rabbits in there. I'm really tempted to put one of my juvie koi Angelfish in to see how big it would get and the coloration. | |

| That's funny been throwing around putting one of the proven pairs of angels out in the pond this summer to see what would happen, know they will raise their own fry very low maintenance pair or toss Betty & Barney fry out there once they are past the eraser size, just to see how fast they would grow. Not that color is a huge factor with them since they are light to dark marbles and the other pair produce wide fin veils in strange silver variations.
Would be an interesting experiment for sure | |

| You've talked me into LOL my weather isn't as stable so to speak - so I'll toss the 300w heater in just to be safe and soon as the "jar babies" are big enough I'll move them out there and maybe put the curviceps in there too as an added experiment. | |

| Ok you do that and if I get brave enough I'll put one of my Koi Angels out too and we'll compare notes in the fall as to what we end up with. I'll bet you they get huge out there. Monster Angels. We may have to call Jeremy Wade in for help getting them out. LOL | |

| Just watch out for birds Whisper lost a few Kribs last week...darn ducks. Had the ponds covered with netting and pvc, but ducks realized if the walk on the netting they could get the pvs to ride up and the other duck could slide right under and scope some fish. Kinda interesting to watch. Rest of the fish look great..hopefully some will breed over the summer. | |

| Yeah in the four years we've had a pond I have had to call the Animal Control out here to pick up 3 raccoons,2 possums, 2 stray cats, and I have chased away a 7" Crane. LOL. So I know all about the wild life and ponds. LOL | |

| Okay when I get ready to move mine out which should be this weekend (suppost to have decent weather) I'll get pics of them so we can compare notes - mine won't be quite as big so this will be fun. | |

| Actually these are quite small. The close up pic makes them look bigger. They are only about a quarter size. See the lighter behind them for size comparison. yeah I can't wait for the next three or four months to see what happens. They have adjusted very good in the pond. Actually started to eat with the other fish when I fed them. It's weird though. They are a silver color but when put in the pond with the black liner they look very dark. | |

| You will see a little better growth on your angels over an aquarium. Your pictures of your pond shows you don't have plankton in it or is it seeded. Angels of your size put in a good size pond will mature and spawn before removal the first of October. Thats a good seeded pond. Good luck. | |

| Okay - finally got the pond heated the industrial box filter going - so 6/10/11 I'll putting all the "jar babys" out in the pond, really hard to get a pic of them in their current residence but they are approximately the diameter of pencil erasers plus fins. | |
