I've done homemade food for discus before, using beefheart as the main protein source. Have you googled for recipes? I would guess using pureed shrimp, fish, or something like that could work. Supplement that with some pureed veggies like cooked carrot or raw spinach, crush a multi vitamin and you're good to go. Freeze in zippy sandwich bags with the air pressed out, small amounts per bag to make thin sheets when frozen.

double check for recipes online though to find out what a good protein could be used.
