| Im researching how to breed Tiger barbs, Currently moved my tank into the living room though so it might be a while. I might want to breed my regular plecos but I don't think there will be enough homes for all the babies lol. | |

| Tiger barbs seem to pair up. I have some spawning in my 75g. I haven't had any fry, I'm sure the eggs get eaten quite quickly. If they start doing a spinning chase all over the tank then you can be pretty sure they are spawning. |

| Oh hey fern, I wanted to ask. After talking to people in Chat about it I think my Pleco changed colors from stress, it was a dark black and turned int a brownish color. They are about 3 inches long, so I don't know if it's because of the Tank moving locations or what it's about. They are all healthy, tank water is perfect but I thought it was odd. If the pleco is going to stay the brownish gold color I am thinking of breeding them if I have a male and female anyways. I don't know how to tell. | |

| By regular pleco do you mean common pleco? I believe they hit sexual maturity at 1' and can reach 3'-4' I hope you have a massive tank. I know plecos can have different color depending on stress levels, substrate color and health. My rubber lip's are much lighter than they were in the store. |

I know plecos can have different color depending on stress levels, substrate color and health. My rubber lip's are much lighter than they were in the store. You'll need a very large tank (~200 Gallons) to breed common plecos, or maybe even a pond. Good luck with that! Let us know how that pans out. | |
