| i have caught a goldfish on a fishing pole in a local pond and let me tell you it is nothing special. they do not fight at all. it like you have some weeds on your line or something.
on the other hand i have also caught an oscar and that fish fought like it was 4x its actual size. | |

| this reminds me of back home in new mexico, oftain people would throw over grown fish such as goldfish in the irrigation ditches in Albuquerque and when it would dry up (which oftain happened) you would be driving down the road and see these giant dead goldfish in the ditches much like the one in that picture but i think ive seen bigger! | |

| We have seen 2 foot plus Goldies in Lake Huron ! And several are "Shot" during archery Carp shoots every year.
