| My Kribs Mina and The Count are great parents and an awesome couple, showing displays of affection often without any domestic violence. the two are now inseparable. However this was not always the case, when I first purchased my male The Count was full adult size and somewhat older looking, and my female, Mina, was young and just reaching mature size. At first they didn’t seem to be interested in each other; the Count wasn’t coloring up and they weren’t courting, I was disappointed cuz I thought maybe the Count might’ve been too old for her. So I bought another young male krib to the tank. The Count did not like it when Mina was flirting with the new male so the two males proceeded to battle, the new male in full color was 75% the size of the Count, but he was easily overpowered, Mina impressed by the sudden display started courting the Count as he was now in full color. They began their little mating dance and chased off the new male. Mina then started hanging out in several caves. The new male not to be discouraged followed Mina into a cave in an attempt to court her. Since she didn’t want to cheat on her new man she fought him inside the cave (attempted rape. I guess) as soon as was kicked out by the mouth of the cave the Count grabbed him by a fin and battled it out. Mina came outside to watch the fight. With a pectoral fin now torn off the new male, Mina began to beat the new male as well while the Count kept pinning him by locking mouths and wrestling the bloke. Finally as Mina was ripping out the new males eyes, the Count delivered the death blow by tearing off the rivals face. With the rival now dead, Mina and the Count in spectacular coloration went in a cave and got it on, new baby fry were promptly seen a few days later and fed on the corpse of the dead male krib. | |
