help me! something's wrong with Dante!

my delta-tail betta, Dante, has been acting a bit different lately. he's always clamped, and i noticed he's been hiding a bit more than usual. so, i did an early water change on him today, and noticed the most horrid-looking thing ever!




what's wrong with my baby? he doesn't shake his head, doesn't scratch, he's just..... lethargic. doesn't want to move much. hides.

Looks like it could be a bad case of parasites. Try feeding him garlic juice and a few pieces of ground up garlic pieces also you can add aquarium salt to the tank. This along with 100% wc daily.

wow hope the poor guy makes it...

sadly, i found him dead a few hours back. D: i'm thinking he got his head stuck in his barrel cave, and i didn't notice it, and it got infected. D: a friend of mine said his injury looks similar to her HM's when he got his head stuck. i feel horrid for not noticing it sooner than today. D: he was my little copper warrior, and was buried under our Japanese Cherry tree with my other 'fallen warriors'. :'(

(note: i call my bettas warriors or samurai, even though they're NOT, in ANY way fighting fish).
