becareful with the protein. once a week should be safe. you can also try to crush up hikari's cichlid gold. its basically what you get in the fry food pouches.

Cyclopes Eeez is good for the fry... Mason said seaweed is good for the vegies. I got some and they likE!

i usually raise mine to 2"+. it takes a lot longer but people with larger fish will not hastate to buy them.

HEY DAVID, WHAT SHOULD I FEED THEM TO MAKE THEM GROW FASTER. I HAVE GOTTEN A COUPLE SUGG, I WOULD JUST LIKE TO GET INPUT FROM U MORE PROFESSIONAL BREEDERS.

i feed mine the same flake food i feed my adults. i just crush it up. i did just get a bunch of egg flake which i had really fast growth rate with!!!!

I use egg yolk flake mixed with earthworm and brine shrimp flake and they seem to really like it. My bushynose pleco fry love it as well. They just don'yt get a whole buch of it, since the protein is vvery high.

A few people I know swear by New Life Spectrum growth formula. It is super fine and isn't all that expensive considering its a quality food. I personally have not used it enough to tell how much it helps though. I believe it has extra protein (easily digestible) and fat to promote growth.

Spiralina is awsome for africans. Especially fry it has alot of what they need and 25% water cahnges daily and they will grow like crazy.
