| Ok first off how the heck would you get a fish that weight into a net? It had to have been thrashing around all over the place. He pulled it into the boat by himself? I find that very hard to believe. Second if he did just use a net why is there blood all over it's mouth? Me thinks there is more to the story. | |

| That's an awful lot of blood on his face for "netting", even if he beat his head/snout a bit on the side of the boat while they were trying to "land him".
Amazing fish though!! | |

| There was a river monster episode on this fish... Pretty nasty stuff and they seem to get fairly huge for a freshwater fish... | |

| Way crazy looking fish. There is no way on earth the guy pulled it in the boat by himself. A fish that size would have capsized the boat or pulled him overboard..IMO lol | |

| They do get huge . But , I too have some skeptical thoughts about it . First off , he used the plural of net , so he must have been using a gill net . But , I SERIOUSLY doubt he " pulled it into my boat by the gills " . 300+ pounds is damned near impossible to "pull" into a bout that is not designed for such things without capsizing said boat. Most all gator gars of that size are "caught" with fishing ARCHERY gear. I would like to have been there to see it and hear the story. | |

| Sack, I watch Swamp People too. When they pull the gators onto there boats they have a bullet in the head, they are dead not thrashing around like I'm sure this fish was if in fact it was alive when He supposdly pulled in onto his boat. If the gators were alive I'm sure the Swamp People wouldn't be getting it on board either that's why they make sure it's dead first. | |

| WOW, amazing but sad to me. Biggest one ever documents, 50-70 years old, and now probably dead and stuffed somewhere. Agh, its magestic, and we have a need to see stuff like this, but let the poor old fish back to live its final days out, geez. =) Wonder what they did with it | |
