Shipping live fish (how to)

i have been doing some research on how to ship live fish and i googled some sites and here is what i came up with..... If someone wants to do a video and a step by step of how you ship your fish that would help out a lil more

I plan on trying shipping this summer so I got some reading to do thanks for starting this thread Jesse

Some basic facts for shipping:

- fast fish for 3 days before shipping.
- 1/3 water 2/3 oxygen
- Leave space for expansion
- Conditioned/cycles well oxygenated water is a must.
- bag buddies are optional
- double bag for small fish, triple to quadruple bag for big fish (e.g. frontosa).
- Stryrofoam box inside a thick cardboard box.
- Heat packs during winter months - gel packs for summer months


I ship same day airfreight most of the time and have shipped using USPS too.
I've had a high success rate so far.

A snippet of poly filter cloth is also good to put in the bag for the heavy waste producers like plecos, it sucks up the ammonia.
