| they are not hard, keep up with the water changes, and age the water before doing the water change... give them good food, and keep the water at 82-86,
um I wonder why yours die what are your parameters readings?

| I normally keep the PH around 6.4 to 6.5
Both Nits are below 5 if not 0.
I think it's something in our Tap water. Maybe it;s too hard because Angels like soft water or maybe my tank is too small but I think a 10 gallon is big enough for Nickel Size Angels until they grow larger...

um I wonder why yours die what are your parameters readings? I know they can live in a wide range of temps but I had always heard 75-82 and no higher then 90. If you wanted them to breed then increase the temp. higher in the 80's but that's about it. Don't know though mine does very well in the 75-80 range has have all the Angels I have ever kept.

| Nickle size need at least a 20 gal so they don't get stunted. I breed mine at 78. I always have plenty of driftwood in the tank with angels that release tannins in the water (my water is usually a brownish tint to it). Young angel are hard to keep if you have never kept angels before best if they are over a half dollar. |

| Always wondered if it was true but I had read somewhere that if you kept the temps higher it increased their growth but shortened their lifespan? Never really did find out of that was true. I figured they would breed at lower temps like you say (78) I have just read that as an extra trigger a slight increase in temp can help. Then again there is so many things out there that are "wives tales" about fish keeping/breeding lol. | |

| actually a slightly cooler (72-74)water change does it for every pair I've had it simulates rainy season. |

| Well that is why it is nice to see people who have done different ways. Wish I lived close enough to get the angels, they are by far one of my favorite fish. | |
