| I really want more bettas (I just love them!!!), but I want to make sure they have the proper set-ups and tanks w/out spending a fortune and having too many tanks to clean. SOOOO, I know that many of your have more bettas than I do (Whisper, LOL) and I was wondering about your set-ups you all have for them. So let's hear about your betta tanks!!! | |

| My 2 betta tanks are 10g fully planted with 3-4 deformed corys with them. A dorky little filter with a sponge over the intake. The substrate is sand.
My kids bettas are in 1g tanks at the moment and I am going to upgrade them to 10g tanks as well soon. |

| You can easily put up to 4 males in one 5g. tank with canvas mess dividers. put a small type filter on each end and one heater centered in the middle section. | |

| I like to have at least 3g for my bettas, but I really prefer 5g each. Sigh...that's my problem! LOL! I love giving my bettas room to move! I know they can survive in 1g each, but I just think they do better with more room. | |

| Then get a 10 or a 20 long and divide it. I was just giving you an idea when I said a 5. You can use any size you want. | |

| I have 2 bettas. One is in a 2.5 gallon Marineland tank, the other is in a 3 gallon critter keeper. They each have a Hagen Elite mini filter and Hydor mini heaters with sand substrate. I've been thinking about putting them both in a divided 10 gallon just so I have fewer tanks to do water changes on (right now I have 7 tanks). | |

I've been looking on CL to try and find a tank to use. I could easily get a 10g from Wal-Mart, but would really like a 20g. The ppl here in GA think that just because they buy a tank for $50 five years ago, it should still be worth what they paid for it! LOL! It is hard to find decent deals on used tanks around here. I saw one a few days ago; 55g tank with the filter that came with it (=CHEAP filter), used rocks still in the tank and a cheap stand and they wanted $300.00. NO way! I really will only pay no more than $2 per gallon for a used tank. | |
